Women's knitted pullover

At the heart of the winter wardrobe is knitwear. Soeur works knitwear through all its tensions, from fine sheer shoulders to chunky winter ribbing, playing with stitches, textures and cables. Our collection of pullovers and waistcoats offers knitted pullovers in merino wool, alpaca and cotton, in loose or fitted cuts, from crew necks to polo collars, including cardigans.

Fine knit or chunky knit?

Everything is a matter of season and style. Fine knitwear, more airy, is worn every day and calls for layering: beneath a white shirt, beneath a blazer, or as an under-pullover. The fine pullover in merino or cashmere is the most versatile variation in this family. Chunky knitwear, denser, structures winter pieces and stands on its own, with jeans or a wool skirt. Cables, openwork, English rib and chenille knit create different textures, radically changing the effect of an otherwise identical silhouette. The Cardigan in mohair or alpaca extends the idea: worn open, it serves as a lightweight jacket; buttoned, it becomes a pullover with a considered collar. Knitwear also forms, on its own, a knitwear collection, where all variations come together.

Cables, openwork and English rib

The work of knitwear is the craft. Cable brings dimension to the piece and shapes the body without constraining it. Openwork, more discreet, opens the material to light and brings subtle transparency to mid-season styles. English rib, tighter, structures winter pullovers. These textures create many different pieces from age-old gestures, revisited by the house's makers. In terms of colour, the palette plays with deep shades – brown, anthracite, deep green – alongside luminous neutrals such as ecru and sand. To extend knitwear through the wardrobe, the pullover dress extends it to below the knee. The wool pullover classique vient compléter cette family of pièces, in a more plain register.
